Cyclonic storms in Arabian Sea to have missed Gujarat in last 5 years

Just after battling a severe cyclonic storm Hudhud, India now gears up to bravely face cyclone Nilofar. The current cyclonic storm that originated in the Arabian Sea is expected to make a landfall near Saurahstra and Kutch region if the environmental parameters favour.

At present, the temperature in Arabian Sea is colder in comparison to surrounding places. A high vertical wind shear is also expected to forbid the system from strengthening and hitting the Gujarat coast.

 

Here are some of the cyclonic storms, depression in Arabian Sea that rather crossed or missed the Gujarat coastline in last 5 years.
