Cyclonic circulation to bring more rain in Delhi by evening

The proximity of the Cyclonic circulation to Delhi is likely to keep the weather in the city cloudy and rainy for the next 24 hours. According to our latest weather update, rain could occur in Delhi by today evening as the cyclonic circulation over south Haryana continues to persist and is working in tandem with a Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir.

Delhi recorded overnight rain and hail with wind blowing at a speed of around 40 kmph, leading to power cut in some parts of the national capital. The Safdarjung Observatory recorded 9.4 mm of rain while the other Observatory at Palam recorded 6.2 mm of rain from 8:30 am on Thursday till 8:30 am on Friday.

In spite of rain, night remain comfortable as temperatures were in the early teens. Delhi recorded a minimum of 13 degrees on Friday morning and is expected to remain in the same range, 12 to 13°C during to the next two days. Cloudy weather led to fall in day temperature on Thursday with maximum settling at 25.3°C at the Safdarjung Observatory while, Palam recorded the maximum of 25.8°C.

Our latest weather update indicates that day temperature will continue to remain about the same range, 23 to 25°C during the next two days. The cloudy weather in Delhi would start clearing up from tomorrow night as the Western Disturbance and cyclonic circulation will move eastwards.
