As predicted by Skymet Weather, good rain and thundershower activities were recorded in West Rajasthan and South Rajasthan during the last 24 hours. Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Barmer, and Udaipur have recorded light to moderate rains.

In a span of 21 hours, from 8:30 am on Saturday, Barmer recorded 21 mm of rainfall, while many other districts received light rains of 1 or 2 mm.

According to our meteorologists, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over central parts of Pakistan and adjoining Southwest Rajasthan. In the wake of this system, scattered rains would continue in Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Udaipur during the next 24 hours.

A similar condition is likely tomorrow as well and one or two intense spells cannot be ruled out. Moreover, due to the development of convective clouds, thundershowers are likely in many parts of these areas. Places like Bikaner and adjoining areas also stand a chance to see some rains tomorrow.

The pink city of Jaipur during the same span would record light patchy rains.

On the other hand, the weather of Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and eastern districts of Rajasthan would remain almost dry.

By October 8, rains will start vacating the state and weather is likely to clear up. And once the rains take a backseat, the temperatures would start rising leading to warm day conditions.

Temperatures would then are expected to settle in higher 30s and may even go up to 40 degree Celcius.
