A Well Marked Cyclonic Circulation has come up in the Bay of Bengal. The system is expected to move towards Sri Lanka Coast across Southwest Bay of Bengal.
The system is not likely to impact the weather across the mainland, except some isolated activities. The system is a little low in the latitudes and in the southern parts of Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial region. Tomorrow, the system will come closer to the Sri Lanka coast, giving rains over that region.
Thereafter, the system may move across Sri Lanka and Gulf of Mannar. The system may give some rains over extreme southern coastal parts of Tamil Nadu around March 12 and March 13. It may result in some rainfall activity over the Bay islands in the next 3-4 days.
Unlike the last system which did give some weather activity over the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and even underwent intensification, this system may not be as strong and effective. The system is a little south of its position as the previous one, closer to the equator.
