Mumbai rains have remained on the backseat for a long time now. So much so that the city has not witnessed any rains for months now. In fact, the capital city of Maharashtra has been witnessing warm weather conditions with the maximums settling in the lower 30 degrees side.

Usually also, Mumbai does remain completely dry during this time of the year. Even the monthly rainfall stats are proof of the city of Mumbai witnessing very little rains. The monthly mean for Mumbai in November stands at 16.8 mm only.

Currently, the system is located about 880 km south southwest of Mumbai. By tomorrow, the system will get closer to the coast due to which some rains are expected over the city of Mumbai. While the system is expected to gradually weaken, it will give some rains over Mumbai.

By evening of December 4, the city is expected to witness some rains. Thereafter, on December 5 as well, Mumbai rains are likely to occur resulting in pleasant weather conditions. The possibility of isolated rains on December 6 cannot be ruled out.

During this time, strong surface winds will blow over the city during the day time, all thanks to the effect of Cyclone Ockhi. These showers will be light to moderate and the possibility of heavy showers is not very likely.
