Bengaluru weather has been giving the residents that much-needed relief over the city. So much so that Bengaluru rains have been heavy last week. While the city recorded 40 mm of rain a day before, the rain intensity was even heavier on Friday with Bengaluru receiving a whopping 83 mm of rainfall.
With these rain activities, the weather conditions have taken a pleasant turn over Bengaluru. In fact, the garden city of India has been witnessing maximums in the late 20s. At present, the maximum temperature is settling at a good 29.7 degrees which happens to be at least three degrees below the normal levels. Minimums on the other hand are normal at 21.3 degrees.
However, yesterday wasn’t rainy enough for the city of Bengaluru. While the city has still been getting over those two days of heavy rain, now, these heavy showers will take a backseat. In fact, the next 24 to 48 hours will remain almost dry with the slight possibility of isolated rains.
A cyclonic storm has developed in the east-central Bay of Bengal and has been named as Mora. Cyclone Mora has the potential of developing into a severe cyclone during the next 24 hours or so. With this, the cyclone has been pulling all the moisture towards itself.
Thus, Cyclone Mora is responsible for taking away those heavy showers from Bengaluru and pouring it over Northeast India and eastern parts of the country.
