Bengaluru, the tech city, is expected  to be lashed with moderate to heavy showers for the next 2 days.  Tropical storm Mandous, placed over southwest Bay of Bengal, is gaining strength.  Cyclone is expected to breach the coastline of Tamil Nadu, sometime tomorrow night. Bengaluru, otherwise on the far peripherals of the storm, is likely to witness few outbursts of monsoon showers, on 09th and 10th December.

Bengaluru is undergoing a dry spell  for nearly 2 weeks since 25th November. Jinx will break soon as the storm of Bay of Bengal closes in and spreads its wings across South Peninsula. Weakened storm as a low pressure area will move across South Interior Karnataka between 09th and 11th Dec.  Moderate showers embedded with one or two heavy spell are likely, in some parts of the city during these 2 days.

While the low pressure weakens further and crosses over to the Arabian Sea on 11th Dec, the associated cyclonic circulation will continue to drive moisture over coastal and southern parts of the state of Karnataka for the subsequent couple of days.  Light to moderate rains, with sufficient breaks in between, are likely over the city and suburbs between 11th and 13th December.
