The western and central parts of Madhya Pradesh have recorded scattered light rain during the last 24 hours. A significant reduction in the day temperatures was noticed as a result of clouding and subsequent light rainfall activities.
All these weather conditions can be attributed to the Severe Cyclonic Storm Maha over the East Central Arabian Sea and the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir.
According to our meteorologists, the Severe Cyclone Maha is moving away north/northwestwards and the Western Disturbance is moving away east/northeastwards. After 24 hours, the Cyclone would recurve in the east/northeast direction.
In the wake of this movement, the southern and central parts of Madhya Pradesh will get scattered light rain and thundershowers for the next 24 hours. Places like Raisen, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia, Tikamgarh and Damoh would witness these weather activities.
As the Cyclone moves further in east/northeast direction, the rainfall intensity will increase and the western and southern parts of the state would come under the grip of light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds. Places like Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Pachmarhi and Betul may be the ones to witness these rains.
In the wake of these rains, a significant drop in the day temperatures is likely between November 7 and 9.
Moreover, due to strong winds and rains, the cropping system in the southwestern parts of Madhya Pradesh will get affected.
