On and off light rains with a few intense spells have been going on in the Pune city since October 24. However, during the last 24 hours, the weather has remained mainly dry.
According to our meteorologists, rains are likely to return to Pune during the coming days. This will happen because the Cyclonic Storm Maha would start re-curving in the northeast direction, most probably by tomorrow evening.
As a result of this movement, we can expect good rains in Pune and adjoining area on November 5 and 6. There are chances of one or two intense spells as well on these two days. Some light rains on November 4 cannot be ruled out.
Further, November 7 onward, rains would start vacating the region and dry weather conditions are likely to set in. Moreover, no significant rainfall activity is likely after this episode.
During this entire episode, the weather would remain pleasant and comfortable. The temperatures would also start dropping and we can say that winters would set in Maharashtra by the second week of November.
In the wake of Cyclone Maha, good rains have returned to the state of Maharashtra. In fact, not only coastal areas but the interior parts such as Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha too are witnessing rainfall activities since its development.
