Now a Cyclonic Storm named Gaja has formed over West central Bay of Bengal. Due to this storm, weather over the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh has already become cloudy to partly cloudy.

But we do not expect any significant rainfall activity over the state till tomorrow. Although isolated light rain may commence from November 13 over few coastal stations such as Machilipatnam, Chittoor, Prakasam and Nellore.

However, from November 14, rain intensity will increase, and moderate rains are expected over all these coastal districts on November 15. Light rains may also occur over Guntur, Cuddapah and Anantapur.

After making landfall over Tamil Nadu Coast on November 15, cyclone Gaja will degenerate rapidly and rains will also decrease significantly over Andhra Pradesh. But we expect sea conditions to become rough to very rough over coastal area of Andhra Pradesh and wind speed will also be strong in the order of 60 to 70 kmph from November 13 to 15.
