Cyclone Fani to give light rains during CSK VS DC clash in Chennai today

The 50th match of IPL 2019 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals today i.e. on Tuesday, May 1, 2019, at Chennai's home ground, M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, from 08:00 pm.

Chennai has played excellently on its home ground, this season , with winning five out of six matches played so far. In fact, in the last two years, Chennai has lost only to Mumbai on their home ground.

On the other hand, if we talk about Delhi, then this season of IPL has been a very special one for the team. After waiting for 7 years, Delhi's team has finally secured its place in the playoffs.

Weather during the match

Chennai will witness cloudy sky today, with humidity levels around 70%, causing uneasiness for the players as well as the audience. Temperatures will remain around 32℃.

Extremely Severe Cyclone Fani will not give heavy to very heavy rains in Chennai. However, some thunderstorm activities along with light rains cannot be ruled out. Winds from northwest direction will blow with a speed of 15 to 20 kmph, which might bring some relief from extreme heat as the match progresses.

According to the points table, Chennai Super Kings have managed to win 8 out of 12 matches. Delhi Capitals is standing at the first position with 8 wins out of 12 matches. These two teams will play against each other for the second time this season. In the first match, Chennai had defeated Delhi by 6 wickets. It will be interesting to see today that whether Chennai wins this battle for the second time or Delhi Capitals will beat Chennai.

Talking about last match, as predicted by Skymet Weather, rains during yesterday’s clash turned down the match between Bangalore and Rajasthan. Match was canceled due to rain. As a result, Virat Kohli's team officially got out of the tournament.

Due to rain, only 5-5 overs were played. RCB scored 62 runs for 7 wickets, while Rajasthan lost its first wicket on 41 runs in the form of Sanju Samson and then it started raining and the match was canceled.

Bangalore’s last match of this season is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 4.
