After a break, Delhi rains ar

make a comeback. All thanks to Cyclone Daye that had hit Odisha coast last midnight.

The tropical storm had weakened into a deep depression within six hours of making a landfall. According to Skymet Weather, the system continues to move in west-northwest direction towards central parts of the country. As it would be now travelling over land, it would further weaken into a depression by the time it would move to Central India.

Under the influence of the system, the winds pattern has already changed from dry north-westerlies to humid southeasterly over Delhi-NCR. A north-south trough is also likely to form from Western Himalayas to West Madhya Pradesh across Delhi-NCR.

With this, Monsoon rains and thundershowers to commence over Delhi and adjoining areas of Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad by Friday evening or night. As per weathermen, intensity of rains is likely to increase by Saturday, wherein we can expect moderate rains at many places, with few heavy rains as well.

These showers of varying intensity are likely to continue till September 24. Though intensity may vary from place to place but few sharp showers are likely during this time.

This approaching rainy spell will now pave way for pleasant weather conditions. Maximum temperatures would also dip and would settle under 30°C in the coming days. Nights and mornings would be pleasant, while days would be comfortable.
