Cyclone Biparjoy made landfall over north Gujarat on the evening of June 15th as a very severe cyclone. Now it is seen as a cyclone over northwest Gujarat and adjoining parts of South Sindh of Pakistan. It will move in the northeast direction over South Rajasthan as a depression by today June 16th evening. Most parts of Saurashtra and Kutch have received moderate to heavy rain. The cyclone will get weakened into a depression by the evening of June 16 and will be over south Central Rajasthan.
Initially, the rain activities will be over Southwest Rajasthan places like Jalore, Sirohi, and Barmer to get moderate to heavy rain. As the depression will move for the north East words raina activities will cover many other districts of Rajasthan such as Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Tonk, Nagaur, Bikaner, Sikar, Jaipur, Dausa, Karauli, Bharatpur and Alwar.
However, northern districts of Gujarat may continue with moderate showers until the morning of June 17. The weather will start clearing up thereafter. On the other hand, rainfall activities over North and northeast Rajasthan will continue until June 20.
