Cooler days ahead for Mumbai, temperatures across Maharashtra to drop

Over the last few days, an anti-cyclonic feature was observed over Central India and adjoining region, was feeding warm and dry winds over Maharashtra region.

As a result, most parts of the state remained very warm. Whereas places in coastal Maharashtra observed hot day conditions during the last few days.

Now, with a change in wind pattern, the anti-cyclonic feature is becoming insignificant. This will allow the cool northerly winds to penetrate most parts of Maharashtra.

A drop in day temperatures across Maharashtra is expected now. Coastal parts of the state are expected to record maximum temperatures settling around the early 30s. These conditions are likely to persist till the next 48 hours.

Minimum temperatures are also expected to take a hit during the next 48 hours. Day temperature may come down to normal, while night temperature in places over Vidarbha and North Madhya Maharashtra may settle below normal.
