Another fresh Western Disturbance has approached the hilly state Jammu and Kashmir and North Pakistan region. Due to which, light rains are expected over Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the weather in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will remain mostly dry.
Since the beginning of October, we have seen successive Western Disturbances travelling across Jammu and Kashmir, but no major rainfall activity has taken place till now.
However, these Western Disturbances have induced several cyclonic circulations over Haryana and North Rajasthan leading to change in wind direction over the northern plains of India including the capital city and its nearby region.
Due to this, northwesterly winds could not to set in for longer duration and restrict smoke from stubble burning from Punjab and Haryana to Delhi-NCR.
Currently, the Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir is also feeble in nature. However, in association with this system, we do not expect any good rain or snowfall activity over hills.
Sky may become partly cloudy to cloudy leading to cool and comfortable weather over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Thus, we can say that due to pleasant weather conditions it’s the perfect time for tourist to travel towards the hills of North India and enjoy the cool weather over there.
