As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from Kerala up to South Maharashtra coast but due to it being feeble in nature, it is not capable of any weather activity in terms of rains over the region.
Thus, the weather of Vidarbha would continue to remain dry with bright sunny skies prevailing over the region as no significant weather activity in terms of rains is expected. The temperatures are not expected to rise further but would continue to remain beyond the normal levels.
Let us see the impact of this weather on agriculture of Vidarbha region:
As the weather of Vidarbha is dry and hot, irrigation of summer crops like Groundnut, vegetables and short duration fruit crops is advisable to the farmers at regular interval. Farmers are also requested to complete the harvesting of Wheat and late sown Bengal gram crop as well as continue harvesting of Orange, lime, and pomegranate.
