Both the states of Tamil Nadu as well as Karnataka have not seen good Monsoon rains for the past few days. In fact, while the capital city of Tamil Nadu aka Chennai has seen traces of rains in the last three to four days, the Karnataka capital Bengaluru has remained dry for quite a long time.
However, good news waits for both these South Indian cities for the next few days where rains may take the front seat for at least two to three days.
Currently, an upper air cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over Rayalaseema and adjoining areas in the lower tropospheric regions. Not only this, an upper air trough is also expected to extend to the Comorin region across Interior Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka.
Thus, moist winds from Bay of Bengal will result in clouding, causing moderate rains and thundershowers over some parts of South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. These rainfall activities are expected to continue during the next two to three days. Due to these upcoming rains, day temperatures over both these areas will see a drop.
Thereby, cities of Bengaluru, Chintamani, Chitradurga, Chamrajnagar, Hasan, Mysuru in Karnataka and Velllore, Chennai, Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri etc. in Tamil Nadu will see good showers.
