Delhi weather has been playing enough see saws already with the weather taking a U turn during the evening hours and being hot as hell during the day time. As far as the last 24 hours are concerned, Delhi remained hot with sky high mercury levels.

Yesterday, the maximum settled at a whopping 43.2 degrees Celsius at the Palam observatory with the minimums today being recorded at 28.8 degrees, both three degrees above the normal levels. Meanwhile, the maximum at Safdarjung settled at 42.2 degrees Celsius which is three notches above the normal levels while the minimum settled at 30.6 degrees which is five degrees above the normal levels.
However, parts of the national capital did see some rains with the Palam observatory recording 4 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours. Ayanagar also witnessed 0.4 mm of rainfall during the same time frame.
Currently, a Western Disturbance is over the Western Himalayan region. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Rajasthan and adjoining Central Pakistan region. Moreover, an upper air cyclonic circulation is seen over West Uttar Pradesh from which an upper air trough is running across Delhi up to Nagaland region.
With this, dust storm, and thunderstorm are expected over Delhi and its adjoining areas of Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad during the evening hours of today. This weather activity is also expected to spill into tomorrow as well, but the intensity will be more today.
