During the last 48 hours, dry weather with few clouds have been experienced over the Northwest plains. The temperatures have decreased significantly in the wake of an active Western Disturbance. Presently, a feeble Western Disturbance as an upper air Cyclonic Circulation is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. This system will be further moving in East-Northeast direction. Hence, during the next 12-18 hours, the sky conditions will remain partly cloudy. Thereafter cloud-cover will decrease.
As the above system will move further away hence fall in temperatures will continue. It's time, residents will have to pull out their woolens yet again, as northwesterly-northerly winds will prevail over many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan. Since, these winds are dry and cold in nature, hence, early morning and night hours will experience chilly cold. Though day will be pleasant but cold winds will affect the overall weather.
The day’s maximum temperatures will remain between 16-18 degree Celsius and night temperatures are likely to remain between two to four degrees. After 24 hours, further drop in night temperatures is expected. Hence, during the coming days, ground frost and Cold Wave conditions are expected over many places of Northwest India.
