Since last many days, Gujarat has been observing dry weather conditions. Many parts of the state were reeling under the extremely warm weather with day temperatures seen mounting 6-8 degrees above normal.
Moreover, the maximums that most parts were observing were settling between 37-39°C. The reason for this extreme dry and warm weather condition can be attributed to the prevailing southerly and southeasterly winds.
As per Skymet Weather, now, both the maximum and minimum temperatures have already started dipping. In fact, in last 48 hours, the day temperatures have dropped 4-6°C from the normal while the minimums went down by 2-4°C.
Hence, the day temperatures that were settling in high 30’s are now settling in mid or lower 30’s.
The reason for the drop in temperatures in Gujarat can be associated with the change in the wind pattern from warm and humid southerly to cold and dry northerly-northwesterly winds.
Skymet further reiterates that the drop in temperatures in the state of Gujarat can be expected to continue for next 48 hours, eliminating the warm and humid weather and paving way for comfortable days ahead. Thereafter, the temperatures are once again expected to scale up.
Thus, days in Gujarat will be comparatively less warm than the current weather condition while nights will be cool and comfortable. Hence, in a nutshell, it can be said that people in Gujarat can brace for some comfortable days ahead.
