The Western Disturbance as an upper-air system is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. The system is likely to move in an East-Northeast direction. A feeble induced system is seen presently over North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana.
Mainly cloudy weather is likely to persist over Jammu and Kashmir and with the passage of Western Disturbance, drop in temperature is expected. Isolated light rain may occur over the hilly regions of East Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during next 24 hours.
Due the present Western Disturbance, few areas in Pakistan have received light rainfall. Sialkot received 11 mm of rains, Jhelum 10 mm and Lahore recorded 2 mm of rainfall.
In the last 24 hours, mainly cloudy and partly cloudy was seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Very light rain occurred over Jammu city and there is a chance of isolated rain in the hilly areas of Jammu as well. While the maximum temperatures over many areas of Jammu were above the normal, it is the minimum temperatures were far below normal.
The temperature may further drop over plains of Northwest India. Another fresh Western Disturbance is expected over North Himalaya by November 15.
