During the last few days, minimum temperatures in the state of Rajasthan were settling close to the normal levels. This was in view of the series of Western Disturbances as well as their induced Cyclonic Circulations which kept them in check and arrested them from falling down way below normal levels. Thus, cold wave conditions remained far away from the region for a while at least.
However, now, the weather has cleared up for both the hills as well as the plains of North India as the systems have moved away and no other system is in sight. With this change in the weather phenomenon, cold wave conditions have made an appearance over many areas of Rajasthan. In fact, cold day conditions are also being seen in some areas of the state.
Cold wave conditions have gripped places including Chittorgarh where minimum has settled at 3.6 degrees, Bhilwara at 3.6 degrees, Udaipur has settled at 4.5 degrees. A few other places have missed this by just a whisker. For instance, both Sikar and Churu have witnessed minimums at 5 degrees Celsius.
