Whenever the maximum temperatures are either 16°C or below 16°C, cold day conditions are declared. The reason for such cold day conditions is the continuous persistence of dense fog over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. For the last one week or so, dense fog conditions were witnessed over the region.
As of now the intensity of chilliness is not expected to go down, and similar weather conditions will continue for another 2-3 days.
