Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh will observe better day conditions from Tuesday onwards as maximums are likely to rise during the next two to three days. The maximum temperatures in east Uttar Pradesh including Allahabad and Varanasi increased a little on Monday but Gorakhpur continued to witness cold day like conditions with maximum settling at 18.2 degrees, seven notches below the normal.

In Bihar, Patna recorded 18.2 degrees as the maximum temperature on Monday which is six notches below the normal while Bhagalpur recorded 17.4 degrees, 8 degrees below normal. The other weather stations that witnessed below normal day temperatures were Gaya and Forbesganj by 7 degrees each, Chapra by 5 degrees while Purnea in the state also saw maximum settle 8 degrees below normal on Monday.

According to our forecast, day temperatures will see a rising trend as sky will become clearer in the region compared to the last few days. Also fog conditions will get better as they will abate early to facilitate more surface heating.

Due to back to back Western Disturbances during the last few days, the region was witnessing cloudy sky that restricted the day temperatures from rising. In absence of clouds, it was fog which usually continued till noon and kept the maximum below the normal during last couple of weeks.
