Cold and dry weather likely to continue in West Rajasthan, Gujarat

December 29, 2013 4:15 PM |

The weather in North India is expected to change in the next 24 hours as the minimum temperatures that are keeping low at the moment are likely to rise but some parts especially west Rajasthan and Gujarat are not going to get any respite from the prevailing cold wave conditions.

Places like Churu, Mount Abu, Sriganganagar and Jodhpur will remain under the influence of northerly winds that will add to the chill. Churu and Mount Abu remain the coldest in the state for the second consecutive day.

Dwarka, Naliya, Porbander and Rajkot are witnessing night temperatures below normal by about 5 degrees. Dwarka saw night temperature settle at 11. 6 degrees on Sunday morning. Naliya is possibly the coldest with a minimum of 3.4 degrees, eight notches below average.

The Western Disturbance in North India will not have any impact on the weather in these areas which will continue to experience chilly winds from central Asia.
