Mumbai, the city that never sleeps has been witnessing dry weather conditions for quite some time now. However, it is not an unusual affair for the city to not witness any rain during this period.

What the city does experience during this period is hot and humid weather conditions during the day and comfortable evenings during the night.

Mumbai has been witnessing the maximum temperature in the late 20s for the past two to three days, which happens to be about three to four notches below the normal levels. Meanwhile, the minimums are in the late teens, which is normal for this time.

Currently, an induced cyclonic circulation has formed and lies over Southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Southwest Pakistan. An upper air trough is extending from this system up to Northeast Arabian Sea.

This trough will be moving east northeastwards. Due to the presence of this upper air trough, clouds are likely to increase over Mumbai and adjoining areas during next 24 hours.

Thus, the day temperatures may decrease slightly but humidity levels will increase. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures will settle around 19 degrees Celsius. Also, thunderclouds may develop in the vicinity of the city during the next 24 hours. However, the possibility of rains is not too likely as winds will blow from the northwest direction which are dry in nature.

Thereafter, clouds will decrease, and day temperatures will increase gradually resulting in uneasiness over the city.
