As if the blistering days under the scorching sun weren’t enough in Delhi, the night time temperatures too are rising in the national capital city. And even though severe heatwave conditions may have abated from several parts of India for now, temperatures are settling above normal and in 40s in Delhi.
Delhi recorded season’s warmest night on 8th June as minimum temperature settled at 31.6°C at Palam. The last highest in Delhi this year was observed on 25th May when minimum temperature settled at 31.1°C.
After the warmest night, Delhiites woke up to a cloudy weather that remained till evening hours. But after a look at the cloudy weather since Tuesday morning in Delhi tempted the residents to look forward to some rain, then hold that thought right way. The clouding has just been induced due to cyclonic storm Ashobaa, which is just going to reduce the temperatures marginally in the national capital for another day or two.
These clouds are at the height of 10,000 to 15,000 feet above ground level which will not give any rain. These clouds have developed due to southwesterly winds at the upper level. Gradually after 24 hours clouds will reduce. Dust storm is expected at some places on 11th June over Delhi and NCR. But the day will again start heating up due to absence of any weather activity.
Pleasant weather in offing due to Western Disturbance
By 13th June a fresh western disturbance is expected to start affecting J&K area and its induced cyclonic circulation will give scattered dust storm and thundershower over plains of north India including Delhi and NCR between 14th to 16th June. That time, maximums will drop below 40 degrees and pleasant weather conditions would prevail.
