It is advised by the local authorities to avoid visiting these areas. According to Skymet Weather, these hefty showers can be attributed to a trough extending from Odisha to Kerala across Chhattisgarh and Telangana. With this, it is anticipated that light to moderate rains will continue another two to three days. During this time, the city would witness on and off short and sharp spells of rain.

Thereafter, the rain intensity will once again increase by October 7 and the city will witness heavy to very heavy rains. These showers will be due to the formation of fresh cyclonic circulation which would be forming over Odisha coast. The system is most likely to move in west direction towards Telangana.
