The famous Hindu holy shrine, Vaishno Devi has been reeling under rain and thundershowers that have been splashing almost the entire northern hills. Alongside, Vaishno Devi did see a few snowy days as well that halted various travel plans.
However, since the last couple of days, Vaishno Devi did not witness snow, but, on and off rains have been pouring over the shrine. In last 24 hours as well, the holy shrine experienced light rain and thundershowers that can be associated with the Western Disturbance that was affecting the Western Himalayan region, approaching Jammu and Kashmir.
However, in next 24 hours, this weather system is expected to move away. This would result in a significant decrease in the snow and rain activities over Jammu and Kashmir, thereby also reducing the rain and snow in Vaishno Devi.
Hence, the holy shrine is expected to witness light rain and thundershowers until the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the weather is likely to become dry and the sky will be clear. Though fair to partly cloudy sky will be prevalent but these would not result in rains.
The devotees who have been waiting for the clear weather may see this as the best time to visit the shrine.
