Clear fog conditions in Delhi, North India

The early morning weather in Delhi was clear today as there was no fog reported from any part of the city.  The visibility was normal allowing smooth vehicular movement, a huge relief for office goers and early morning commuters. Flight operations were also smooth as the runway visibility at the Palam airport was 1200 meters at 7 am which improved to 1400 meters at 8 am. The minimum temperature recorded at Palam was also comfortable at around 11 degree Celsius.

A clear weather prevailed in North India as well. Places like Amritsar and Chandigarh in Punjab, Allahabad, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh observed very good visibility of over 900 meters. There was shallow fog reported in Gorakhpur, Agra and Patna but here too the general visibility was good at around 800 meters.

In the Northeast, Agartala was the only place to witness shallow fog. Viskhapatnam in South India also witnessed dense fog. Rest part of the country observed clear weather.
