Many parts of Rajasthan have begun to experience the winter chill with the minimum temperature dropping below the 10° mark. One such city which also happens to be the coldest in India for the past few days is Churu. Minimum temperatures have dropped further over Churu and are settling at 4.1° celsius today, which is the lowest of the season not only for Churu but for any other region in the plains of India.
Churu has been continuously recording lowest temperatures pan India. If we talk about the last four days, the minimum started with 6.7° C on November 21, it dropped to 6.4° C on November 22, furthermore dropping to 5.3° C on November 23 and finally becoming 4.1°C today.
The minimums have been plunging, making it the coldest city Pan India on the 4th consecutive day. This drop is due to no significant system present over the northern parts, clear sky conditions and the cold winds from snow clad mountains of the Western Himalayas blowing over the region.
Moreover, as Churu's minimum has been seen below the 5 degree mark, this will amount to cold wave conditions, making the entry of these conditions rather early.
In the coming days, similar trend will continue in Churu and while the temperatures will not plunge further, marginal drop may be seen. All in all, minimums will be seen hanging around 4-5 degrees for the next few days, i.e. until the end of the month.
