Fairly widespread moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers are likely in Chhattisgarh on July 26 and 27. Isolated places could receive extremely heavy showers as well.

Meanwhile, here’s a look at the rainfall figures in several parts of Chhattisgarh, in a span of 24 hours from 8.30 am on Thursday:

Weather systems affecting Chhattisgarh

We can see a cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh and adjoining Jharkhand region, right above Odisha. This weather system will bring heavy showers in some of the places including Korba, Bilaspur, Raipur and Kawardha.

After this spell of rain, the cumulative average in Chhattisgarh will become excess. Farmers in the region will have a reason to smile because such heavy rainfall will be very essential for paddy crops.
