The city of Chennai has seen good rains duirng the first four days of November. Nungambakkam Observatory, which is the base observatory for the city of Chennai recorded 74 mm of rains in the last 24 hours from 8:30 am yesterday.
The Nungambakkam observatory so far has recorded 290 mm of rains, while the normal is at 376 mm. Thus, the city has already recorded more than half of the rains until now and is likely to cover the monthly average well below.
We can expect rains to possibly slow down a little over Chennai today itself. There may be moderate showers today but by tomorrow, rains may reduce in intensity with light rains and one odd moderate rains. Most rains will take place in the evening hours. Around November 7, rains may reduce further and will only revive around November 10 or 11.
