The meteorological division of Maharashtra has received light rain and thundershowers during the last 24 hours. The increased cloud cover and subsequent rainfall have significantly dropped the day temperatures in the region.

On the other hand, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada as well as Madhya Maharashtra have remained mainly dry with slightly warm day conditions.

According to Skymet Weather, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Marathwada and adjoining region. In the wake of this system, Marathwada and adjoining parts of South Madhya Maharashtra may experience light rain and thundershowers for the next 48 hours.

The southern parts of Vidarbha may also experience light rain during next 12 to 18 hours, as a result of the mixing of different air masses.

Places like Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Nanded, Latur, Beed, Sangli, Solapur, etc may experience light rainfall activities.

On the contrary, the remaining parts of Madhya Maharashtra and rest north Maharashtra may experience dry weather conditions only. Both day and night temperatures are expected to increase for next three to four days.

The city of Mumbai would also experience dry weather with a warm day followed by a hazy and pleasant night. The pollution is likely to settle between ‘moderate and poor’ category. The day temperatures may settle between 31 and 32 degrees Celsius, while minimums are likely to settle above 20 degrees.

The Pune city is going to witness dry weather with the bright sunshine during the day. The maximums will remain around 29 degrees while the minimums may settle somewhere close to 16 degrees.
