After a brief lull in Monsoon rains, weather conditions have once again become conducive for a fresh spell of showers over Punjab. According to Skymet Weather, the presence of several weather systems over and near the state will lead to rains of varying intensity over several parts of Punjab for the next 2-3 days.
Places such as Mohali, Chandigarh, Roopnagar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Pathankot, Faridkot, and Amritsar are expected to record light to moderate rains. However, these showers will be of short durations but will be successful in restricting the temperatures.
As per weathermen, a cyclonic circulation has been prevailing over North Madhya Pradesh and South Uttar Pradesh, which is now likely to move in west-northwestwards. Also, the axis of Monsoon is also running through Ferozepur, Karnal, Meerut, the center of cyclonic circulation, Daltonganj, Jharkhand, Digha and Bay of Bengal. Moreover, a fresh Western Disturbance has been affecting Jammu and Kashmir.
