Chances of rain in Delhi amidst pleasant weather conditions

October 27, 2015 12:31 PM |

Delhi weatherFairly pleasant weather conditions are being observed in Delhi-NCR for the last few days. The afternoon hours are also comfortable due to the Western Disturbance that has given rain and snow in the hills of North India. An induced system is also affecting the weather in the region.

Usually by the end of October the temperatures in the region drop by a decent margin. According to the data available with Skymet, the average day temperature by the end of the month comes down to settle at 30°C, while the minimum touches 15°C at times.

In the last few days there has been a marginal drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures. For instance the Safdarjung Observatory on October 25 (Sunday) recorded 34.4°C as the day temperature, which dropped marginally to settle at 33.3°C on October 26 (Monday).

Similarly the night temperature from 20.3°C on Monday morning dropped to settle at 18.5°C on Tuesday morning.
For these temperatures to drop further another Western Disturbance should affect the region of North India.

Earlier the Western Disturbance which gave good amounts of precipitation in the hills had left behind a light induced system, which is currently over Rajasthan in form of a cyclonic circulation.

This cyclonic circulation is likely to become more marked and cause weather over East Rajasthan, North Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh.

Delhi-NCR is on the fringes of the weather system, therefore it stands a chance of rain on October 28 (Wednesday). Thereafter, the weather will clear and marginal drop in the day temperature will be observed in the city.
