Delhi weather had been playing some games in terms of weather. With sky high temperatures, residents had been struggling enough asking rain gods to give them some relief in terms of a few good showers. However, all that they had been getting was hot weather and soaring mercury levels.
Yesterday was a different ball game altogether as the weather took a U turn during the evening hours. Apocalypse kind of weather was observed during the evening hours wherein massive dust storm activity was witnessed over the national capital and adjoining areas of Noida, Gurgram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.

In fact, trees toppled, several hoardings were also seen falling down. That one hour looked nothing less than a catastrophe in the making. After that, rains followed, and the national capital saw good amounts of rains.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Palam in Delhi recorded moderate showers to the tune of 27 mm while Safdarjung saw light showers of 4.7 mm. During the same time frame, Ayanagar recorded 17.3 mm, Narela 16 mm, and Ridge 11 mm.
The Western Disturbance is over Western Himalayan region along with its induced cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas.
Now, today, there may be some weather activity in terms of dust storm, thunderstorm followed by rainfall activity. However, intensity will be much lesser than yesterday.
Thereafter, weather will become dry over Delhi and the NCR region. In fact, mercury levels will also see a rising trend and hot weather will be back again.
