After facing traffic snarls due to water-logging caused by rain in Delhi today morning, office goers should be prepared for more rain during the evening hours. According to our forecast, the weather in Delhi will remain cloudy with chances of rain for the next 8 to 12 hours.
Since last evening the Safdarjung observatory in Delhi recorded 23.2 mm of rain till 8:30 am. The other observatory at Palam recorded 18.7 mm of rain during this period.
With this, our meteorologists expect the minimum temperatures to fall. However, it will largely depend on the clearance of clouds in Delhi. According to our forecast, the sudden drop in night temperatures expected in the next 48 hours will again make people shiver with cold in the capital. A fall of 3 to 4 degrees in minimums can't be ruled out during this period.
Day temperature in Delhi is likely to be about 5°C below normal on Friday after recording 22.6°C on Thursday. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures rose by almost 5°C to record 11°C on Friday from 5.6°C on Thursday.
