Brace up for hot days as maximum temperatures in Delhi likely to touch 40°C

 Going by the weather forecast of Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the pleasant weather in Delhi could finally make way for a period of hot and dry weather during the last few days of April. The maximum temperatures in Delhi are expected to rise gradually during the next two to three days and settle above 36°C.

Skymet Meteorology Division in India is not expecting any weather system to affect the national capital region for next three days. Bright sunshine during the day could lead to more surface heating and boosting the temperatures by three to four notches. An extended forecast by Skymet shows that these temperatures coupled with warm winds would add to the heat in Delhi during the last few days of April. The maximum temperatures in Delhi could even touch 40°C during this time.

According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the day temperature in Delhi on Sunday was recorded at 33.6°C. After recording a minimum of 18.5°C on Monday, night temperatures in Delhi could also rise in the next two days  and settle in the early twenties. So, Delhiites would observe pleasant weather conditions only during early morning hours and late night. They will therefore, not require to switch on their ACs during these times.

This April, rain in Delhi has been surplus till now. A total of 19.4 mm of rain has been received in Delhi which is way above the average of 11.5 mm for the month.
