According to Skymet Weather, the cyclonic circulation over Punjab region and the east-west trough running along the northern plains that has been responsible for the rains, both have now become less marked.
With this, rain activities are expected to reduce drastically, paving way for dry and sunny weather conditions ahead. We can also expect moderate winds blowing over the region, which may give loo effect.
The prolonged rains that had also led to significant drop in day temperatures by 5-6 degrees, will now start crawling back to normal. However, an increase will be marginal on Tuesday as the remnants of the system will continue to affect the weather in terms of cloud cover and isolated rain activity, particularly over the foothills.
However, Wednesday onwards, day maximums will increase and may even surpass 40-degree mark. In coming days, Delhi temperature is likely to cross 42°C.
Not only this, the steep rise in temperature will also take the comfort away from evenings and nights that are likely to witness temperatures settle above normal.
