Today morning some parts in both the states of Bihar and Jharkhand witnessed moderate fog activities with haze at many places.
During the last 24 hours, widespread rain and thundershower activity with strong gusty winds were observed over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. Isolated places have also recorded hailstorm.
Rainfall figures, however, don’t show any major activity record as these rains were mainly scattered. Going by the figures, places like Patna, Supaul and Gaya have recorded ‘trace’ activity while Bhagalpur received 0.1mm of rains. The activity will continue with decreased intensity as the system is likely to move further east.
Yesterday’s Cyclonic Circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas has now shifted eastwards and is presently lying over central parts of Uttar Pradesh. A trough is extending from this system up to Chhattisgarh. This system is likely to become insignificant after 24 hours.
After 12 hours, we expect mostly dry weather over these areas. The day temperatures will continue to remain below normal over the region and the night temperatures will drop by two to three degrees.
Strong winds would prevail tomorrow morning as well. Also, moderate to isolated dense fog is likely over many parts. Northeast parts of Bihar will continue with cloudy weather wherein a few places might even witness light rains.
