Moreover, heavy rainfall has wreaked havoc in Nepal throwing life out of gear. Also, these incessant rains have worsened the flood situation over Bihar as several rivers including Koshi, Bagmati and others are likely to cross the danger mark.

These weather conditions can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen prevailing over East Bihar. Due to this, moderate rain and thundershowers are expected to continue over eastern parts of Bihar and adjoining areas for the next 24 to 36 hours. Places such as Purnea, Supaul, Araria, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Champaran, and Kishanganj may continue to observe moderate rains along with few heavy spells at one or two places during the next 24 to 48 hours.
