The stage is all set to mark the celebrations of Bihar Diwas in the state capital of Patna. Commencing on March 22, it will be a three-day long gala event, showcasing both the cultural heritage and economical growth of Bihar.
The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at around 5:30 pm on Wednesday at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. This would be the eighth edition of the annual event, where in Kumar will throw light on the state's latest development in the field of education, technology, infrastructure, economy and agriculture.
Weather also seems to be favourable during the event. As per Skymet Weather, weather will remain dry and clear over the Bihar. Morning and nights will remain pleasant and comfortable, while afternoons will be slightly warmer. Day maximums are likely to remain in the range of 31°C-32°C. On the other hand, minimum temperatures will settle between 16°C-17°C.
Several departments of the state government will put various stalls at the exhibition. One such stall would be of Bihar State Disaster Management, which will give some vital information on do's and don'ts at the time of natural emergency.
In association with that, Skymet Weather will also put up a stall at Bihar Diwas that would display lightning detector and automatic weather station (AWS) which would help people and concerned authorities to be well prepared in advance for any natural disaster.
Besides this, Skymet Weather will also demonstrate the working of a drone for loss assessment both in terms of extent and intensity.
The entrance has been designed in the shape of pencils that demonstrates the value of education in the society. Rockets have also been added to the structure celebrating India's recent launch of 104 Nano satellites in the Earth's orbit.
The state government has invited around 3,000 school children from all over the state who will represent their respective districts. Special zone is created for children that includes painting zone, art and crafts zone, quiz zone, adventure zone and fun zone. Besides this, there will also be an amphitheater where students would be allowed to showcase their individual acts.
The Bihar Diwas was started in the year 2010 to focus on the ethical standards and progress in the state.
