Parts of Bihar and North West Bengal are expected to witness light rain during the next 24 hours. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, a convergence zone, which has formed in last 24 hours, will be causing isolated light rain over parts of West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand.

The convergence zone is presently prevailing over East Madhya Pradesh, adjoining Jharkhand and Bihar region and is shifting eastwards. The convergence zone has formed from the moist current from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

Due to the system, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar recorded light rain in last 24 hours over several areas. On Tuesday, Gaya in Bihar recorded 3 mm of rain while Patna received 2 mm of rainfall. In Madhya Pradesh, Satna received 8 mm of rain, Khajuraho 4.9 mm, Umaria 0.5 mm and Sagar 0.2 mm.

As the Western Disturbance has moved into the western Himalayas, its induced cyclonic circulation has also gradually fizzled out over Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Uttar Pradesh.

However, the moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal continues over parts of Northeast Madhya Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, northern Bihar and adjoining West Bengal, though not as strong as it was. This spell of rain that lasted for four days has ceased now.
