Northeast Monsoon has been drenching south coastal stations of Andhra Pradesh for the past few days however the remaining parts of the state witnessed dry weather conditions. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the well-marked Low-Pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal will gradually move in a north-north-east direction towards west central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Coast.

In wake of this weather system, moderate to heavy showers are likely over south coastal Andhra Pradesh today. By November 14, rain and thundershower activity will cover most parts of Andhra Pradesh. Places such as Vijayawada, Prakasam, Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh will come under the influence of these rains.

This weather system will give rains over the coastal districts of Odisha. Light to moderate showers will be witnessed by places such as Cuttack, Puri, Bhubaneswar, Paradip, and Gopalpur. It is expected that by November 15, few heavy to very heavy spells are likely to lash North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coast.
As this weather system will continue its northwards journey along the east coast of the country, rains will start reducing over coastal Andhra Pradesh from November 16 but Odisha will witness light to moderate rain on November 16 also.
By November 17, there will a significant decrease in rainfall activity over both the states. The temperatures will drop over the coastal districts of both the states by three to four degrees between November 15 and 17.
