Monsoon rains have been drenching the state of Madhya Pradesh from quite some time now. Moderate to heavy rains and thundershowers along with few heavy spells at one or two places were seen dampening the several districts of the state. The intensity of these rains was seen more over East Madhya Pradesh than over West Madhya Pradesh. Though good Monsoon rains were recorded across the state.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Bhopal 21.2 mm, Ujjain 14.6 mm, Guna 11.5 mm, Indore 11 mm, Gwalior 4.6 mm, Jabalpur 4.2 mm and Satna 3.4 mm.
These weather conditions can be attributed to an axis of Monsoon trough which is seen moving away from Madhya Pradesh. As no such weather systems are likely to prevail over the state. Hence, no good sign of Monsoon rains is expected to occur over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas. Therefore, cloudy weather along with rising in day temperatures is expected to be foreseen during the next 24 to 48 hours.

In cities such as Bhopal, Guna, Satna, Ujjain, Indore and Gwalior are expected to witness reduced rainfall activities. The intensity of rainfall is likely to reduce over the entire state.
