The state of Madhya Pradesh has been witnessing good rains for the last two to three days. Not only this, the last 24 hours were also not very different as the region did record some good spells of rainfall as well. Isolated heavy showers were also seen over some parts.
During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Betul recorded a whopping 45 mm of rain, Bhopal 35 mm, Ratlam 25 mm, Seoni 15 mm, Pachmarhi 10 mm, Raisen 4 mm, and Shajapur 4 mm.
Presently, a feeble cyclonic can be seen over Southwest Madhya Pradesh which has been responsible for giving rains over some parts of Madhya Pradesh. Now, this cyclonic circulation will persist for two to three days. Due to the persisting weather system, rains are expected over many parts of Madhya Pradesh.

South and West Madhya Pradesh particularly, will receive good rains of moderate intensity with isolated areas recording heavy rainfall. However, northeastern and northern parts of the state will have to settle with only isolated light rains and that too in some parts.

In fact, light to moderate rain may occur over Anuppur, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Panna, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Shahdol, Sidhi, Umaria, Balaghat, Barwani, Betul, Bhopal, Chhindwara, Dewas, Dhar, East Nimar, Harda, Hoshangabad, Indore, Khargone, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Raisen, Sehore, Seoni, Shajapur, Ashoknagar, Guna and Vidisha during next 4 hours.
Now, temperatures will once again witness a drop due to which morning and night will become pleasant.
At present, both East and West Madhya Pradesh are rain deficient by 29 and 24 percent, respectively. However, this ongoing and upcoming rainy spell may bring down the rain deficiency to some extent.
