Since last many days, Madhya Pradesh along with cities like Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore and Guna have been receiving pre-Monsoon scattered light rainfall and thundershower activities. During the last 24 hours as well, scattered rainfall has occurred over parts of South and East Madhya Pradesh. Whereas, North Madhya Pradesh remained dry during the last 24 hours.
In span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Hoshangabad recorded 15 mm of rainfall, Jabalpur 8 mm, Sagar 5 mm, Guna 0.6 mm and Bhopal 0.3 mm.
As per Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to the trough that is seen running from central parts of Uttar Pradesh up to Andhra Pradesh across East Madhya Pradesh. With this, rain and thundershower activities are likely to intensify over East and South Madhya Pradesh. Places like Bhopal, Indore, Balagarh, Seoni, Jabalpur, Umaria, Satna and Mandla may record rains of varying intensity.
However, central region of Madhya Pradesh is expected to reel under dry weather conditions for the next 24 to 48 hours.
Meanwhile, West Madhya Pradesh has been recording scattered light rainfall activities and with the region is rain surplus by 101% as on June 15.

Whereas, East Madhya Pradesh has recorded deficient rainfall by 21%
The temperatures across northern parts of Madhya Pradesh may drop significantly and continue to receive more pre-Monsoon showers during the next 24 to 48 hours.
