Good news is in store for the pilgrims planning a trip to Vaishno Devi as Skymet Weather predicts a clear weather in terms of rain and thundershowers for the divine Hindu Shrine this week.
On the past day, Vaishno Devi recorded some moderate spells that dropped the maximum temperatures, leading to drop in day temperatures to 24 degrees Celsius. The minimums also dipped by a few notches and settled around 11 degrees Celsius.
As per Skymet Weather, these rains were due to the Western Disturbance which was affecting the Western Himalayan region over Jammu and Kashmir.

However, now, the weather system has started shifting eastwards and thus, the weather activities over the hills including the holy shrine Vaishno Devi is likely to reduce. Though some light rain and thundershowers may occur over the divine shrine for the next 24 hours.
After 24 hours, the weather would start clearing as the Western Disturbance would shift further eastwards, far from the shrine.
Thereafter, another spell of rain and thundershowers are not anticipated over Vaishno Devi before the weekend. Thereafter, rains would make a comeback around May 13 on account of arrival of a fresh Western Disturbance.
Until then, the weather is pleasant and perfect for the pilgrims to visit the Holy Shrine. Thus, it is the best time to head towards Vaishno Devi to seek the blessings of the Devi, as there will no weather hindrances.
