Southwest Monsoon has already started withdrawing from the northern and western region of India.
The hilly areas of India are witnessing moderate climate these days. The temperatures are neither too hot nor too cold so this is the best time to visit hills. Maximum temperatures prevailing over most regions is in high 20’s while the minimums settling in lower 20’s.
In Himachal Pradesh, during last 24 hours, Manali has recorded maximum temperature of 24°C, minimum settling at 11°C, the maximum and minimum temperatures for Shimla is also observed at 25°C and 15°C respectively.
During the similar time frame, Nainital, in Uttarakhand too witnessed maximum temperature of 23°C and minimum settling at 10°C.
As of now, there is no Western Disturbance over the region. Furthermore, the axis of Monsoon trough which was running from Himalayas has also become insignificant.
Due to all these weather factors, the hilly regions are not likely to witness much rains now. However, the climate of these areas are expected to remain pleasant. Hence, this is considered to be a peak time for travelers to pack their bags and plan ahead for a journey to witness the scenic beauty of hills of Northern India.
